Evidence Obtained:
This property is a duplex that had fallen into disrepair. The current owner is renovating the duplex to use as rental property and we were asked to investigate it.
We focused our investigation on the half that was almost completed with renovation. We did a walk-through and brief EVP session in the other side as well, and had no anecdotal experiences.
We did not notice any unusual temperature, humidity or EMF readings during our initial sweeps of the renovated side.
However, during an EVP session investigation we had the following anecdotal experiences occur.
-
•While in the back bedroom, we repeatedly heard a very loud popping noise that seemed to come from the bedroom closet. We could not substantiate that it was a paranormal occurrence and surmised that it could be caused by expansion or contraction of the wood veneer flooring that had just recently been laid.

-
•During the same time as hearing the popping noise, Mark thought he saw a mist at the front door of the closet and Bobbie thought she saw a small shadow or shape at the back wall of the closet. Our equipment did not detect any unusual readings at this time.
-
•Approximately 30 seconds later, Janice reported a significant EMF spike. Mark used his EMF meter and the two of them were able to locate the EMF field which seemed to be right on Janice’s lap. As an electrician, Mark was unable to rule out static electricity coming in from the outside wall directly behind where Janice was sitting, so we did not rule the EMF spike as a paranormal occurrence.

-
•However, at the same time of the EMF spikes, Thomas recorded a temperature increase from 68º which steadily climbed to 76º in the same location within 10 seconds. We could not determine the cause for the sudden increase in temperature which was located on the floor just next to Janice’s legs. (In the photo below, the red line shows the I.R. light from the temperature gun.)

-
•Thomas recorded a temperature reading of 80º on the floor near Tammy and within 15 seconds the temperature steadily dropped to 70º. Again, we could not determine the cause for the sudden decrease in temperature.

We did not experience anything else during our investigation, nor did we yield any documentable evidence on video, audio, or photographs.
HISTORY
(To protect the privacy of our client, we are not revealing the last names of the more recent property research.)
1899 the land (160 acre plat) was originally patented to Mr. Culbertson who was a very large land owner when the Oklahoma Territory was established.
1928 Mr. Culbertson sold the land to developers and the housing addition was built. The first owner of this duplex was Ida T. While doing this research, it appears that these duplexes were primarily owned by people who used them as rental property. Therefore, little was found about the tenants who lived in these duplexes.
1946 sold to J. H. G.
1967 sold to Henry G.
1978 sold to Thomas & Goldia H.
2004 sold to RAK Properties.
2005 sold to Elmer L.
2008 the property was foreclosed upon and sold at a Sheriff’s auction.
2008 bought by the current owner who is renovating the property.
1940 We found an obituary of one tenant, John P., a man aged 89 years, who died of natural cause in the duplex.
