We were contacted by the homeowner who was concerned about some activity she had experienced in her home during the four years she had lived there.
She had reported that her house alarm had gone off once and the alarm company indicated that it showed internal movement. Although she has cats, the system is calibrated to detect the cat’s size and movement.
She has heard many noises in her bathroom in the middle of the night and she couldn’t find an explanation for it. Additionally, on several occasions the shower stereo was switched to a different broadcasting channel. She lives alone and did not switch the channel herself.
One of her cats often would perch on the end of the dresser and stare obsessively at the wall and corner of her bedroom, flicking its’ tail as if it was intently watching something.
Investigation Results:

-
•We performed a sweeps of her home and did not find any unusual readings throughout the house except for the master bedroom. Behind her panel is a breaker box which emitted extremely high EMF fields. The homeowner also admitted that she sleeps near an alarm clock, with her cell phone on the night stand and often uses an electric blanket. All of these additional items increased the high EMF reading and collectively could be in a range high enough to cause hallucination, paranoia and the sensation of being watched due to EMF sensitivity.

•Mark and a guest investigator inspected the roof and found a tree branch that bangs against the fireplace chimney. This could account for unusual noises she might hear in the middle of the night when the house is quiet. They also discovered a hole in the eaves outside the master bedroom window and markings to indicate a squirrel or another small animal had created it. This window is on the wall, near the corner where the cat stares and it’s possible the cat is alert to the movements of any animals crawling in or out of the eaves.
Bobbie felt like there was simply residual energy left by previous tenants and was not able to pick up on any spiritual activity in the home. This concurs with our scientific findings, as we were not able to detect any paranormal activity with our equipment.
History and Research:

The house was built in 1990 and bought by Bill and Linda E. who bought this home for his mother, Ada, to reside in during her elderly years. The home was transferred into Ada’s name through her living trust and she then sold the home to the current owner in 2004.
